This wonderful family organised a photo shoot as a present for their mom's special Birthday way back in August last year. While we were waiting for the convenient date and venue I photographed the latest addition to the family (see Juliette Newborn entry) which was such a treat. It was lovely to finally meet the extended family and we had a great time with our group shots ; a photo shoot definitely worth the wait!

Out of the blue - a very old friend (from way back "standard 2" that's Grade 4 for the modern reader) contacted me to see if I could fit him and his 3 boys in for a Studio Session. He was visiting his parents in Cape Town and wanted some pics to take to his wife back home in Mosselbay. Absolutely brilliant to see him again, and meet his 3 gorgeous boys. We had loads of fun - my lights managed to stay in tact - and we got some great shots for Mother's Day!

Little Juliette was just 7 days old when I photographed her at her parent's home in Durbanville. She'd just had a big sleep and woke up rather 'doe-eyed' and serene... Her mood remained that way mostly due to Dad's gentle soothing and coo'ing in his fabulous french accent : I think it worked on me too!
Congratulations again to Matt and Danelle. Belle Juliette, you are one precious little girl, I can't wait to meet up with you all again in a month when we get together again for our big extended family shoot.

Christmas is just around the corner (like you need reminding) so how about a Photo Shoot of the family PLUS a personally designed Christmas E-Card to send to family and friends?

You choose the images you want to use and I design your E-Card with a personalised message. For R1,000 you get a Studio or Location photo shoot, between 30 - 50 retouched images on a disc (large and small files) PLUS your Christmas E-Card.

You may have lots of your own favourite images sitting on your computer, so as an alternative to the full family shoot, I can apply a bit of retouching magic to your images and design your E-Card for you.

Contact me for more information or to book your pre-Christmas family photo shoot.

About a week ago I had an email from Danelle who had booked me to photograph her Newborn, due to arrive mid-November. She had decided to take the plunge and have her Pregnancy recorded as well - good girl! We had a great little hour's session in my studio. Danelle and her husband Matt are so excited for their new little addition to arrive, as am I : Absolutely can't wait - and we're aiming to photograph their new baby within the first 7 days, so stay tuned for tiny, tiny newborn pics!
Thanks Danelle and Matt, wishing you all the best and looking forward to seeing you again, this time as parents!

6 x Bishop's Boys, their partners and parents. So much excitement in anticipation of a fabulous night... Looking good, ladies and gents!

Last Saturday I had the all inspiring priviledge of being involved in a Charity Breakfast function put together by the awesomely talented team of Amelia and Kim of Woman2Woman (www.woman-2-woman.co.za). The event was held at Moyo, Big Bay and the chosen charity for this breakfast (they run 4 a year) was "Nicky's Drive". Nicky herself is a true inspiration, and wonderful character. Having been born with no arms and shortened legs, Nicky has not only managed to lead a fairly normal life, attending a mainstream school, adapting her skills and participating in all activities; she also has a university degree from Stellenbosch (now practicing as a clinical psychologist) AND... wait for it - can drive a car! She is, in fact, the only person with no arms in South Africa to be able to drive a car. Nicky has had her current fully modified vehicle for 16 years and is raising funds to get a new one. The modifications alone cost a cool half a million, and can only be assembled and fitted in the UK. Anyway, enough from me - go to Nicky's website at www.nickysdrive.com where you can watch a short clip of her driving and learn more about how this amazing young woman inspires, enables and motivates others...
Amelia and Kim, thank you for the opportunity to work with you, your functions are incredible - the prizes, giveaways and auctions items are spectacular, and I'm SO looking forward to being your "resident photographer" at the next one!

An ideal setting and perfect weather led to a brilliant family photography session at Long Beach on the weekend. Equipped with buckets, spades and a favourite little white boat, this family chatted, played and cuddled while I hung back with a long lense and captured their natural movements and expressions. The aim of the photo shoot was a gift for Granny's birthday. A very special gift from a very special family...

I am in love. How gorgeous is little Rio? Her wonderful parents had a hard time tearing her away from my lense - and my clutches! This was a very happy and playful little family studio photography shoot. Rio was so amazingly well behaved and loves the camera. Her mom and dad weren't half bad either and we got some great shots for Dad to treasure while he's away skippering a yacht in Europe. I hope to see you all again, it was lovely to meet and photograph you all. Thank you!

A very tidy little group of Year 10 (16 year old) girls booked my studio for a Photo Shoot during their recent school holidays. Their brief to me was simple : "We want to have some fun - and look FABULOUS doing so!"
Do you think we hit the mark?
